Kenny Golladay has all the physical tools to be a WR1 in the league and this year he might show it even more than he did last year. In his first game as a Lion he was able to grab 2 TDs but as the season went on he ended up getting hurt and it took him a while to get back into the grove of things. Though he did show he can play there is no question about that, now its just a matter of opportunity.
Golladay so far in Training Camp and preseason is still impressing everyone and in this last preseason game it looks like he could end up being out on the field when they run their 2 WR sets not Golden Tate which is huge. Golladay provides Stafford with another Huge target inside the redzone and that is where I believe his biggest impact will come from give the Lions don’t really have go to TE and their only other redzone threats are Blount and Jones at the moment.
With the Lions they were one of the league leaders in 3 WR sets so Golladay was going to see playing time regardless. And with the Lions defense being a real question mark for this team they could have a lot of favorable game scripts for all their offensive players. Now add to the fact that Stafford has regularly throw for over 4,000 yards there is plenty of upside to Golladay having a big year in the TD department. Now Golladay will already have his own stand alone value with Tate and Jones but if either player goes down Golladay could turn into a WR1. For right now though he is more of a WR3/Flex play on most fantasy teams.
